DATASCADE
Cash adjustments
Accountants regularly need to capture cash adjustments to ensure that account balances are correct. The specificity of this process is it requires user interactions, but it's not a problem for Datascade.

In the example below, 3 spreadsheets are used:
-
A spreadsheet to define the accounting periods
-
A spreadsheet to capture new cash entries
-
A spreadsheet to update the cash journal
The cash journal is then used as input for the generation of GL postings.

Accounting periods are defined in a simple form which can be created within a few minutes with the form builder.

The form for new cash entries can also be created within a few minutes with the form builder.

The cash journal spreadsheet will then perform a few calculations before adding the new entries to the journal.
